BEIJING, Jan. 21 Xinhua News Agency reported, according to Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Drainage Services Department signed a 20 dollar 625 million worth of contracts for North Point, Wan Chai East and Central basic sewage treatment plant is expected to end 2014 completed.
contract is awarded DSD HATS A main project of the eighth contract. North Point, Wan Chai East and Central sewage treatment plant, the first to provide the basic raw sewage treatment, and then use deep tunnels to convey sewage to Stonecutters Island Sewage Treatment Plant for further treatment.
The works include upgrading of the three basic sewage treatment plants into the pumps, screening systems and grit removal systems, and enhance odor control system and increasing green space.
Harbour Area Treatment Scheme aims to improve water quality in Victoria Harbour. The first phase of the end of 2001 since the opening day handling about 75% of the harbor from sewage generated. A collection of the second phase of the remaining 25% came from the north and southwest of Hong Kong's sewage.
